Moderation Role of Strategic Agility in the Relationship between Entrepreneurial Orientation and Competitive Advantage in SMEs

Research aims: This study employed dynamic ability theory to test the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and competitive advantage moderated by strategic agility, consisting of three dimensions (strategic sensitivity, collective commitment, fluidity resources) in context small medium enterprises developing country. Design/Methodology/Approach: applied a cross-sectional design, using bootstrapping analysis with SmartPLS 3.0 program indirect advantage. Strategic agility was moderating variable explain The sample comprised 170 food beverage (SMEs) Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.Research findings: results revealed that increased through dimensions, simultaneously carrying out exploration exploitation innovations encourage entrepreneurship SMEs increasing sustainable advantage.Theoretical contribution/Originality: novelty this research is achievement excellence competitiveness can be done agility.Practitioner/Policy implication: expected reference consideration for SMEs' businesspeople, owners, managers, which form utilizing resource capabilities improvement company knowledge management produce superior performance from competitors volatile, uncertain, ambiguous environment.Research limitation/Implication: Future may consider mediating effects before variables stable environment does not have turmoil, such as COVID-19 pandemic, whether still relevant context. Further also prove focus on only one scale because they are different way dealing tumultuous uncertain environment. Finally, future researchers incorporate other constructs potentially affect SMEs, autonomy, aggressiveness, energy.
